MB Design Studio is a Berlin-based interior design practice specialising in hospitality, designing hotels, restaurants and bars across Europe, alongside selected residential projects.

Our approach combines strong creative direction with a deep understanding of how spaces are experienced, operated and ultimately perform as businesses.
We approach every project as its own world – shaped by its location, audience, brand and commercial ambition. Rather than applying a signature aesthetic, we develop a distinct narrative for each project and translate it through materiality, colour, detail and atmosphere into spaces with a clear and memorable identity.

Our work brings together creative vision and commercial intelligence. We consider not only how a space looks and feels, but how guests move
through it, how teams operate within it, and how each design decision contributes to both emotional impact and operational performance.

Merav Bustan

FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Merav Bustan is the Founder and Creative Director of MB Design Studio, bringing to practice more than 15 years of experience across hospitality, commercial and high-end residential design.

Before founding the studio, Merav spent over a decade leading projects across Europe and the Middle East, developing a multidisciplinary approach that combines creative direction, strategic thinking and a deep understanding of how spaces are experienced and operated.

Her perspective is shaped by both design and hospitality. With a background spanning interior design, architecture, visual merchandising, event and set design, she approaches interiors through narrative, materiality and detail – creating spaces with a distinctive character and a clear sense of purpose.

Her work has received international recognition, including the Independent Hotel Show Awards and the LIV Hospitality Design Awards. Beyond the studio, Merav is an international speaker and mentor, contributing to conversations around hospitality design, guest experience and the commercial value of thoughtful interiors.
